The fast-paced world of agricultural law and policy yields tremendous impacts on the nation’s agricultural community.
To keep the nation up to date on the most recent developments in agricultural law and policy, the NALC regularly publishes The Feed, a user-friendly free digital resource available to anyone.
“The Feed comes out every two weeks throughout the year, except only one addition in December, and we never have a shortage of issues to cover,” NALC Director Harrison Pittman said. “We’re usually having to cut some items out, amazingly.”
The Feed launched in January of 2023, and now has several thousand subscribers – producers, researchers, trade associations, students, attorneys, and many more – throughout the U.S.
“It’s a way for us to better inform our stakeholders and make it as easy as possible for them keep them up to date,” Pittman said. “We know folks are pretty busy, so we do our best to deliver information in a succinct and easily accessible way.”
The Feed is written to be utilized by a wide variety of agricultural professionals.
“Our NALC research attorneys work diligently to bring the latest in agricultural developments to each issue of The Feed, covering things going on at both the state and federal levels,” Pittman said. “It’s written to be utilized by a wide variety of our stakeholders, not only attorneys.”
As well as being sent out via email, each issue of The Feed is also archived on the NALC website.
“Foreign ownership updates, pesticide regulations, water law, Supreme Court rulings, you name it — we cover what is going on in the agricultural community,” Pittman said. “We also include links to NALC factsheets, webinars, and other free resources that are applicable.”
Those interested in signing up for The Feed can subscribe to the newsletter, as well as other NALC communications, at this page.
