FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE

Notice announcing that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, have received an application from Consumers Energy for an incidental take permit under the Endangered Species Act. If approved, the permit would authorize the incidental take of a federally threatened species, the eastern massasauga rattlesnake (Sistrurus catenatus; EMR). Info here.

FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION

Final rule amending the color additive regulations to provide for the expanded safe use of spirulina (Arthrospira platensis) extract as a color additive in alcoholic beverages with less than 20 percent alcohol-by-volume content, non-alcoholic beverages, condiments and sauces, dips, dairy product alternatives, salad dressings, and seasoning mixes. NATIONAL OCEANIC AND ATMOSPHERIC ADMINISTRATION

Proposed rule announcing a public hearing related to NOAA’s proposed rule to list the queen conch (Aliger gigas) as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act. NOAA is also reopening the public comment period, which will now close on December 15, 2022. Info here.
