JUDICIAL: Food Labeling

In JESSICA RAWSON, on behalf of herself & all others similar situated, Plaintiff, v. ALDI, Inc., Defendant., No. 21-CV-2811, 2022 WL 1556395 (N.D. Ill. May 17, 2022), plaintiff argued that, despite the product label, ALDI’s Atlantic Salmon products were not sustainably sourced. The court found that a reasonable inference could be made that ALDI’s sustainable claim advertises certain environmental benefits that plaintiff argued were inaccurate. The court denied ALDI’s motion to dismiss.
