Good conversation, fun networking, and tasty Memphis BBQ- what’s not to like?

This year’s “Beer & BBQ,” an annual networking dinner that kicks off the Mid-South Agricultural and Environmental Law Conference, will be held Thursday evening, June 5 at The Rendezvous in Memphis, Tennessee. Peoples Company is sponsoring this year’s dinner.

“The ‘Beer & BBQ’ is an annual tradition and a great way to kick off the Mid-South,” NALC Director Harrison Pittman said. “We’re very thankful to Peoples Company for being so supportive of the National Agricultural Law Center, including sponsoring the Beer & BBQ.”

Peoples Company is a full-service national land brokerage and asset management platform, specializing in comprehensive land services such as brokerage, auctions, management, appraisals and more. It also hosts the annual Land Investment Expo, a national hybrid conference which brings renowned speakers to discuss land investments, agricultural policy and more. Pittman spoke at the event in 2024 and 2025.

“The National Agricultural Law Center is a great asset to Peoples Company and the ag industry as a whole,” said Steve Bruere, president of Peoples Company. “We’re glad to help support the NALC and this excellent conference. It’s a terrific event for any professional interested in agriculture, law, and policy.”

On the evening of the Beer & BBQ, conference attendees and speakers typically gather in the lobby of The Peabody Memphis around 5 p.m. to converse before walking across the street to The Rendezvous.

“While we do offer a livestream option, you’ll have to be in person to enjoy this of the Mid-South,” Pittman said. “It’ll be here before we know it, and looking forward to seeing everyone.”

The 12th Annual Mid-South Agricultural and Environmental Law Conference is co-hosted by the NALC and the NASDA Foundation. Conference information and registration is available at: https://nationalaglawcenter.org/midsouth2025
