In Ctr. for Biological Diversity v. Cty. of San Bernardino, 201 Cal. Rptr. 3d 898 (Ct. App. 2016), as modified (May 18, 2016), appellants (CBD) petitioned for a writ of mandate challenging the water district’s approval of an environmental impact report for a proposed project to pump groundwater from an aquifer. The writ was denied on appeal as the court concluded there was “no prejudicial abuse of discretion in approving the Project and certifying the EIR.” A copy of the opinion is here.
