The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) determinedendangered species status under the Endangered Species Act of 1973 for the New Mexico meadow jumping mouse (Zapus hudsonius luteus). The Federal Register notice is available here.
The meadow jumping mouse can be found in Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado, and will be added to the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife.
The rule is in effect July 10, 2014.
