Hunt Shipman, Principal & Director, Cornerstone Government Affairs 

With over three decades of experience in Washington, Hunt has held a variety of positions in government and the private sector. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Hunt was a senior executive for the largest trade association serving the food and beverage industry, where he led the association’s government affairs and communications programs. Over a span of 12 years in government, Hunt served as Deputy Under Secretary of Agriculture, Staff Director of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry and as a Professional Staff Member on the Senate Committee on Appropriations. He began his government service on the personal staff of Senator Thad Cochran. A native of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Hunt is a graduate of Mississippi State University and he and his wife reside in Falls Church, Virginia.
