Save The Date:

The 13th Annual Mid-South Agricultural and Environmental Law Conference will be held on:

June 4-5, 2026

Online “Early Bird” Session – May 12, 2026

Memphis, Tennessee

University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law

Agriculture in the Mid-South is uniquely impacted by changes and developments in state, federal, and international laws and policies. The program on June 5th is part of a long-term effort to provide relevant and timely agricultural and environmental legal research and information to attorneys, lenders, accountants, tax consultants, students and other agricultural professionals involved in the agriculture and aquaculture industries in the southern U.S. The goal is to provide resources in the form of presentations and content, as well as to foster dialogue about the range of agricultural, food, and aquaculture issues for the Mid-South agricultural community. On the evening before (June 4th) conference attendees are invited to network and visit with colleagues as we host a “Beer and BBQ” reception at Rendezvous, a Memphis icon. Additionally, on the afternoon of June 4th there will be a new ‘Next Generation of Ag & Food Law: Roundtable for Students’ that will be at the School of Law.

We are excited for this year’s slate of speakers and topics:

  • Judge Stephen Vaden, USDA Deputy Secretary – Keynote Speaker
  • Travis Cushman, American Farm Bureau Federation – Supreme Court & Ag Litigation Update
