An Introduction to the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act

 Topic:

The federal Perishable Agricultural Commodity Act (PACA) sets rules of fair dealing for produce companies due to the perishability of the product. PACA ensures produce merchants follow these rules through a system of licensing. Companies and individuals are subject to penalties, such as loss of license and fines for violating the rules established by PACA.

This webinar will discuss the five major parts of PACA for produce companies: Licensing; Prohibited Conduct; the PACA trust; Dispute Resolution; and Contract Issues.
